Happy Thanksgiving! Let us have an attitude of gratitude not only today but everyday! I just finished making this chocolate peanut butter mousse for dessert tonight. And yes, it is as good as it looks. In case you'd like to give it a try, here'e the recipe
Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse
1 2/3 cups heavy whipping cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp kosher salt
4 egg whites
1/2 cup sugar
6 oz bittersweet chocolate, melted and cooled
Chocolate shavings to garnish
Added:
I added 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
and a few crushed Reese cups and one to garnish
You can leave the peanut butter out for just a chocolate mousse
Directions:
In a large bowl, beat cream, vanilla and salt with a whisk until stiff peaks form; chill.
In another large bowl, beat egg whites with a whisk until soft peaks form. While whisking, slowly add sugar, and continue beating until stiff peaks form. Add melted chocolate to egg whites and fold until almost incorporated. Add whipped cream mixture and fold until completely incorporated.
Makes 4 large servings (The photo is two batches)

Even though it still feels like Summer here in New Jersey with temps still in the mid 80's, I am patiently awaiting the Fall crisp air. Either way, it will be here at some point. And there's nothing like some cozy fashion. Black and grey never go out of style and there's just something about a smokey eye.
