Layering necklaces is trending and seems to have been for quite some time now. And the trend doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. A reason for the popularity of layering, is the creativity and personal expression of each woman's unique style. It also gives you more opportunities to wear and enjoy all your favorites (and allows you to buy more necklaces you love...ok ok, you didn't hear that here)

So many try to steer clear of layering necklaces for fear of them getting tangled and then the excruciating time of trying to untangle them.  Here are some ways to wear several necklaces with less chance of them getting tangled.

1) Wear necklaces at least two inches apart in length
2) Wear different types of chain styles
3) Wear different widths

1) Wear the necklaces a least two inches apart in length. When the necklaces are the same length or almost the same is when they have a greater chance of tangling. Wear a 14 inch choker with a 16 inch and 18 inch giving you a beautiful cascade effect. Don't have many varied lengths in your jewelry box? Just purchase an extender or two and easily change the length of your necklace anytime.

2) Wear different types of chains. Wearing a beaded or rosary style chain mixed with cable or curb style will less likely tangle.

3) Wear different width chains. Combining a dainty chain with a bit thicker style will also help keep them entangling with each other.

When you begin creating your layered look, consider the neckline of your top or dress. Your neckline acts as a frame for your necklaces. Get creative and have fun layering your necklaces to create a look that expresses your unique style.

Gratitude is a strong emotion. Expressing acknowledgement for the good things in the world that we have received. That positive thinking is very motivating and rewarding. When waking up and saying "thank you for this day" and "it's great to be alive" is a good start to the day. Helping us appreciate those around us and for what we currently have in our life. While it's easy to dwell on the things we don't have or something that may not have gone as we expected or the way we wanted it to, we must remember that there is always something to be grateful for. Just look outside your window and be aware of the beauty that is around you.

Popular Colors Trending for Fall & Winter 2019 August 9, 2019 17:34

It's still Summer in most areas of the country, but Fall trends have been gracing the runways. There are some great colors that you will be seeing come September. We will still be seeing our favorite Fall hues such as neutrals and deep wines but added to the mix are lots of variations of purple, pops of vibrant orange and hot pink along with pistachio green.

The stand out color on the runways was definitely purple. Yay, it's my favorite color and birthstone! From lighter lavender to deep grape, almost all the designers such as Michael Kors and Kate Spade shared a variation of purple.

Pistachio green is a soft color that I think is very complimenting to most skin tones. It also will be a nice change to wear with basic black pants or a skirt instead of a white blouse.

Bright and vibrant orange as well as hot pink, was seen frequently on the runways as a big color for Fall. If you're afraid the color might wash you out or is just too bold for you, start with just a small piece such as a scarf to accent a more neutral top. You might be surprised at how much you love the color.

My obsession with blush-neutrals August 1, 2019 19:08

I confess, I may have a small obsession with blush and neutrals.....ok ok, a BIG obsession. I absolutely love the neutrals. They are so warm and elegant looking. They compliment all skin tones and are perfect for every season. Every time I am shopping, I am just pulled to the blush and neutral tones. Above are some of my newest additions. I love love love the Nine West handbag and the shoes are so pretty and comfortable as well.
